Logan Byrnes joined the Fox 11 news team in 2016. He anchors the 5pm and 10pm weekend evening newscasts and reports during the week. Logan was born and raised in los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Southern California and obtained his law degree from Whittier College School of Law.  

Logan practiced law in Los Angeles as a litigation and trial attorney for several years before embarking on a career in broadcast journalism.

During his broadcast career, Logan was a legal correspondent for the nationally syndicated news program “Inside Edition.” He contributed as anchor on NBC’s “Early Today,” MSNBC’s “First Look” and provided numerous reports for CNBC’s “High Net Worth” luxury lifestyle program.

Logan also spent more than 10 years anchoring and reporting in Connecticut. He anchored the number one rated weekday morning newscast for several years at NBC Connecticut, before the local Fox station hired him to launch a new 6 hour weekday morning newscast gaining high ratings.

Logan has covered a wide range of stories from the high-profile trials of Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant and Robert Blake, to reporting live from ground zero in New York CIty shortly after the 9/11 terror attacks. He has covered wild fires, mudslides, and high speed police pursuits in Southern California and anchored extended live coverage during the 2017 Las Vegas music festival shooting, the Newtown School shooting massacer and the capture of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. 

Logan has also covered numerous red carpet events, reporting from the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Grammys, and many other award and celebrity events, interviewing scores of Hollywood celebrities.

In addition to anchoring and reporting, Logan loves being involved with his hometown community, emceeing charity events and hosting live televised specials including Marathons, Parades, and Gubernatorial and Senatorial debates.

When Logan isn’t working, he loves traveling and has literaly traveled around the world. He is a certified ski instructor, certified scuba diver, enjoys competing in triathlons, and once jumped out of a perfectly good airplne… with a parachute on of course.
